Abstract

Feminism, though developed in the West, found itself ‘feel at home’ in India, a country whose roots are still deep and strong in patriarchy. The Indian educated upper class has been an active proponent of the feminist movement and their experiences have been widely cited by the media. However, the experiences of the SC/ST women and their plight have taken a backseat, being curtained from popular discussion and has not received the attention it deserved.
