Abstract

The objective of Telangana’s Young India Skills University (YISU), established under a public-private partnership (PPP) in 2024, is aimed at increasing the growing gap between education and employment by offering industry-oriented training in major emerging fields. Chief Minister A. Inaugurated by Reventhath Reddy, and headed by industrialist Anand Mahindra, Yisu began his operation on November 4, 2024, the YISU course includes diploma, degree and certificate courses in diverse vertical verticals such as healthcare; Pharmaceuticals and life sciences; Artificial intelligence and information science; BFSI; Logistics and e-commerce; tourism and Hospitality; Construction and internal design; Advanced manufacturing; Media, Gaming and Films; Renewable energy; Digital design - and in its first year, YISU trained over 500 students in 17 courses, offering more than 82% jobs. A strategic push for digital empowerment, YISU participated with skills and knowledge (work) for Cisco and Telangana Academy, to train in networking, cybercity, AI, and other digital discipline.
