Abstract

This study attempts a bibliometric review of the available literature on index mutual funds extracted from the Scopus database. Biblioshiny R’s software is employed in bibliometric analysis to envision patterns of relevant keywords. Keywords such as “index fund” OR “index mutual fund” are used to cover the relevant literature. The study covers the period between 1978 and 2024. The study reveals that index fund research is still growing with significant scope for further exploration. The USA leads in all elements of the bibliometric report, while India lags behind. Indian journals and authors should enhance quality and quantity to gain global recognition and indexing.
