Aim and Scope
The Learning Curve, the peer-reviewed national journal of the Department of Psychology at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, recognizes that psychology, with its foundational and applied orientation, penetrates every sphere of human existence. The journal aims to provide a dynamic and rigorous academic platform for researchers to present innovative work that offers novel and significant perspectives on psychological issues and concerns. It aspires to publish scholarship that challenges conventional paradigms, guiding the field of psychology into unexplored directions and uncharted territories.
The journal provides an open academic forum for rigorous scholarly inquiry, welcoming conceptual, theoretical, and empirical contributions from researchers, faculty members, practitioners, and scholars across diverse career stages and international contexts. The journal seeks to foster a broad academic dialogue that reflects varied cultural perspectives and institutional settings. Its thematic scope covers a comprehensive array of psychological domains, encompassing applied and specialized fields such as psychological assessment, intervention, neuropsychology, positive psychology, and sports and health. It also emphasizes health, stress, and coping, examining organizational stress, emotional dynamics, cognition, addiction, trauma, and resilience.
Additionally, the journal explores critical social, cultural, and developmental dynamics, featuring scholarship on community and cultural psychology, gender studies, environmental interactions, developmental trajectories, and human resource management. Equal consideration is given to interpersonal and existential dimensions, including evolving relationship structures, spirituality, and psychology’s broader interdisciplinary intersections with allied fields. To cultivate rich academic discourse, we invite submissions across a wide spectrum of research designs, including experimental, theoretical, and applied studies; quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches; as well as systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
