JOURNAL VISIBILITY AND IMPACT METRICS
❖ INDEXING IN REPUTED DATABASES
JLIS has established national and international visibility through its inclusion in recognized abstracting and indexing sources, including ProQuest Library and Information Science Abstracts (ProQuest LISA) and the Library Literature Index. The journal’s OJS identifies these as important sources through which its scholarly content has achieved wider discoverability and working in other indexing platforms soon.
❖ IMPACT METRICS
The JLIS OJS includes a dedicated Journal Impact section that provides a link to Google Scholar for citation and impact information. The journal is not currently indexed in Clarivate’s Journal Impact Factor, Scopus CiteScore, or SCImago Journal Rank (SJR). The journal is actively working towards meeting the requirements for inclusion in these major indexing and journal-metrics systems.
❖ CITATION RATE
Citation performance indicates the scholarly use and visibility of published research. JLIS facilitates citation tracking through its Google Scholar link and maintains an online archive of its published content, supporting the discoverability and citation of individual articles. Citation indicators should be reported with the relevant database, date, and coverage period to ensure accurate interpretation.
