The Department of Library and Information Science, University of Delhi, proudly presents the Journal of Library and Information Science (JLIS), published twice a year (June and December) since 1976. Established as a platform for new ideas and quality research, JLIS has earned national and international recognition, being indexed in leading sources such as LISA and the Library Literary Index.

As JLIS celebrates its 50th year in 2025, it enters a new era as a peer-reviewed, open-access journal from Volume 50 onward. Authors are not required to pay any publication charges; all costs are fully supported by the institution. A strengthened Editorial Advisory Board, featuring eminent experts from India and abroad, will guide its continued growth.
